FINE LINE by gem’n'eye (Irina Baldini and Emily Welther)

Through a multidisciplinary approach (using voice, sound, movement and video), in FINE LINE gem’n'eye experiments with notions of decay and transformation. We let our bodies relate to stories of mythical creatures such as fairies, sprites and sylphs, and our minds reflect on themes of mortality and renewal through concepts of decomposition, oxidation, and alchemy. In the sound and movement that emerge through this exploration, we find a shallow tension, a fine line between creation, transformation, and decomposition.
