Wants to begin, not to belong

All dance is immaterial, its nature is fleeting. It is not to be commodified or possessed. It belongs nowhere, nor to anyone. It begins, it grows, but it is already dependent. The dance I see is emancipated. It is an immaterial good, it is not a product, but it produces. It happens where it shouldn’t, and then it doesn’t happen again. It has already happened where it will never happen again.
It is a dance that minds its own business. It does not justify and does not know the cost of its currency. What is its currency? The only thing that remains is time, the only paradoxically tangible element. Dance is not a material practice. Only its reproduction is. The dance I see does not bear a signature and does not belong to a series of studies, or even less, it is the beginning of a richer product. No, it is a beginning, a beginning from the beginning to the end of itself, and it does not belong.
